Each month, members of HealthShare Plus voluntarily send their monthly contributions to be placed into an escrow account from which members’ eligible medical needs are shared according to the membership guidelines and escrow instructions. All medical needs are processed according to the official membership guidelines. No eligible medical need has gone unshared by the membership since HealthShare Plus began.

Membership is limited to those people who share a clean, healthy lifestyle according to their individual convictions. Members of HealthShare Plus do not share in one another’s unhealthy habits.
The health sharing concept has been around for almost three decades. It is a proven, conservative solution that is growing in popularity every day as an alternative to the rising costs of Marketplace Health Insurance.
The idea for health sharing was born as the happy ending to a tragic story. An uninsured family was hit in their car by a truck. The husband and two of three children survived, but with severe injuries and no way of paying for them. A local charity shared the man’s story in their newsletter and before his children left the hospital, the bill had been paid through the grace and concern of others.
